The city’s most handsome vampire meets the state’s dumbest vampire hunter.
A horror-comedy set in modern-day Minneapolis, Luna the reclusive vampire hunter sets as her next target a womanising rake named Sei.
When the latter brings her to the hospital to treat her wounds from a vicious dog bite, Luna begins to have a change of heart, and starts to question everything she knows about vampires (which, as it turns out, is very little). Initially wanting to do nothing further with the woman, Sei turns sympathetic (marginally) and helps Luna uncover the truth behind the murders of her family.
Their short but revealing adventure is a delightful tromp through the City of Lakes, and is as much a love letter by the author to the city, as it is to horror-comedies such as What We Do in the Shadows, contemporary urban fantasy, and the Gothic horror genre as a whole.
